Fidem Research Group at London International Disputes Week 2026

In June, we attended London International Disputes Week 2026 (LIDW) — one of the key events for the global disputes community.
Key discussions focused on:
◾ Artificial Intelligence as a central theme: from the use of AI in arbitration to the risks of "hallucinations" and deepfake threats;
◾ Crypto-assets and digital currencies: disputes over digital assets with a focus on their seizure and recovery in cross-border investigations;
◾ New ICC Rules: practical implications of the revised Arbitration Rules and other institutional innovations;
◾ Geopolitics and dispute resolution: the impact of the international agenda on jurisdiction selection; and
◾ Collective actions and group proceedings: the development of the collective actions in the UK and their cross-border consequences.
Beyond the official program, LIDW 2026 offered excellent networking opportunities — from receptions and dinners to morning runs and evening music events.
